As we approach the festive season, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what’s been an outstanding year at Engadine Bowling Club. From sporting achievements to community celebrations, facility upgrades to giving back, 2025 has been filled with moments that remind us why our club is such a special place.

Bowls

Our bowlers have given us plenty to celebrate this year. We’re incredibly proud that two of our club members here at Engadine Bowling Club are involved in the NSW Para team, showcasing the talent, dedication and diversity that exists right here at Engadine. We have also had players representing the NSW Blues in the Open Women and Under 25 teams.

Our bowling members have won various regional, state and even national medals over the last 12 months. Engadine Cougars had a very successful season in The Platinum League, making the playoffs, losing a semi final to the defending champions Cabramatta. It’s been wonderful to watch the team’s growth and determination, and we look forward to another opportunity to test ourselves against some of the best bowlers in the world with the Platinum season 2026 starting in late February.

The Come & Try Bowls night introduced the sport of lawn bowls to new people, and it was fantastic to see fresh faces discovering what we love about the game.

Events at the Club

The club has been buzzing with activity throughout 2025. Live music on The Lawn delivered the perfect mix of sunshine, cold drinks and local talent, creating those laid-back weekend vibes we all love.

Our themed raffles, from Christmas hams to seafood, drew huge crowds and plenty of winners. Big days like Melbourne Cup filled the club with colour, cocktails and Fashions on the Field magic. Don’t forget there are still a few raffles remaining as we head into Christmas.

Supporting Our Local Community

Community has always been at the heart of what we do, and this year was no exception. Through the ClubGRANTS programme, we helped fund local initiatives and supported those making a positive impact in the Sutherland Shire. From youth sports to the arts, mental health programmes to community celebrations, we’re honoured to play a part in strengthening the fabric of our local area.

Our annual collection for the Salvation Army Gift and Food drive will make Christmas just a little brighter for local families in need, and we’re grateful to everyone who donated.

Improvements and Enhancements

Behind the scenes, we worked hard to refresh the Family Lounge for members and patrons to enjoy, offering a comfortable, modern space for casual meals and social gatherings.

The Lawn continues to provide a relaxed outdoor space, perfect for those summer afternoons and balmy evenings.

Our Greenkeeping team keep the greens in excellent condition for competitions and for all the community to enjoy through Barefoot Bowls parties and Sunday Sessions Barefoot Bowls. Their commitment ensures everyone has the best possible experience.

Celebrating Our People

The heart of Engadine Bowling Club is our team, and we’re grateful for the way they go above and beyond to make every member and patron feel welcome.

And to our members and patrons, we are truly grateful. Whether you join us for a meal, a game, live music, or a catch-up with friends, your support and presence create the warm, welcoming atmosphere Engadine Bowling Club is known for. You make our club what it is.

Looking Ahead

As we head into the festive season and prepare for 2026, we’re excited about what’s to come. Thank you for being part of our club family and for making 2025 such a memorable year.

Here’s to finishing the year strong and starting 2026 with the same community spirit that makes Engadine Bowling Club so special.
