Engadine Bowling Club are hosting a food and gift collection point to support the Shire Salvo’s throughout November and December.

An opportunity to give to make a difference for those in need and who might otherwise go without. We’re accepting donations of non-perishable food items (with long expiry dates) and new, unused, or unopened gifts. Feel free to drop off your donations by Thursday, 14th December. Can’t decide what to buy? Whether for a supermarket or a gift voucher, vouchers are an excellent option for all ages. This may be the only gift some receive this Christmas, so please leave the gifts unwrapped to let parents choose something appropriate. Some tips on how best to get involved are on their website.

Let’s make this Christmas a little brighter for those facing challenges this year.

  • Christmas Lights – Tour the local streets.

Lighting up the suburbs has become a neighbourhood tradition for many. Several streets are renowned for their spectacular festive light displays, some taking weeks and months to prepare to deck the halls. Take a walk with the family and chat with locals on your travels. Gamenya Place in Engadine is always a crowd favourite. Candy Lane (aka Allambie Avenue in Caringbah South) is also famous amongst those in the shire for its spectacular display of sparkling lights and decorations.
